Although many sugary treats and sweets are too high in carbs and they won’t fit into a low carb eating plan, you don’t always have to keep yourself away from it. Simply by choosing the desserts made with low-carb ingredients and sweeteners can be a great option to fulfill your temptations.

Simple Low Carb Desserts – Chocolate Mousse

Heavy whipping cream – 1 cup

Unsweetened cocoa powder – 2 tbsp

Instant espresso powder – ½ tsp

Almond extract – ½ tsp

Stevia powder – 1 tbsp

Fine sea salt – 1 pinch

Dark chocolate chips – 2 tbsp


Take a large bowl and add cream, cocoa powder, almond extract, espresso powder, stevia, and sea salt.

Beat it using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy and can hold its form. Transfer this mixture to a serving bowl.

Sprinkle it with chocolate chips plus additional espresso powder or cocoa powder to taste and serve.

Simple Low Carb Desserts -Blueberry Muffins

Blanched almond flour – 2 ½ cup

Erythritol (or any granulated sweetener) – ½ cup

Gluten-free baking powder – 1 ½ tsp

Sea salt – ¼ tsp

Coconut oil – 1/3 cup

Unsweetened almond milk – 1/3 cup

Large eggs – 3

Vanilla extract – ½ tsp

Blueberries – ¾ cup


Preheat the oven to about 350°F. Line a muffin pan with 10 or 12 parchment paper muffin liners.

Take a large bowl and stir almond flour, baking powder, erythritol, and sea salt together.

Mix in the almond milk, coconut oil, eggs, and vanilla extract and fold in the blueberries.

Distribute this batter evenly in the muffin cups and bake for about 20-25 minutes until the top portion turns golden and an inserted toothpick can come out clean.

Simple Low Carb Desserts -Chocolate Frosty Dessert


Heavy whipping cream – 1 cup

Peanut butter (or almond butter) – 1 tbsp

Vanilla extract – 1 tsp

Liquid stevia (or sweetener of your choice) – 5 drops

Unsweetened cocoa powder – 2 tbsp

Dark chocolate shavings and crushed peanuts, for garnish


Take a medium bowl and beat the heavy cream using a hand mixer for a few minutes.

Add peanut butter, vanilla extract, and sweetener and blend again until the mixture has the consistency of thick frosting.

Fold in cocoa powder and blend it again until smooth, thick, and well combined. Scoop it into serving glasses and sprinkle it with dark chocolate shavings and crushed peanuts (or almonds).

Refrigerate it until set and then it’s ready to serve.
